Important Update Message from
Salendine Nook Leadership Team
The diaconate and minister recently met together on 2nd Spetember 2020 to look at the way forward for our church here at Salendine Nook. They spent a considerable length of time looking at how the Sanctuary has been set out, taking in to consideration Social Distancing, agreeing on a mandatory Risk Assessment (please read here) and a number of other factors such as Stewarding, Safety, Congregational age, Health issues, Trasportation etc.
After taking all of these issues and current Government and Baptist Union advice into consideration, they came to the decision that as a church WE WILL open for public worship on Sunday mornings as from 13th September 2020. We will of course review this situation over the next several months, keeping in line wih both Government and Baptist Union advice.
Even though we will begin to worship again on Sunday Mornings, we still need to look at the other activities that occur for us as a church during the week, and assess these in due course.
In order for us to begin meeting again on Sunday mornings, there a number of things that we need to do for us all to continue to be safe during this ongoing Pandemic, and to avoid the risk of contracting Covid-19. This is set out in the following document linked here. Please read this before deciding if you feel that you are able to return to worshipping at Salendine Nook Baptist Church on Sunday mornings.
In order to keep us all safe and inline with Government and Baptist Union guidelines we are limited to a maximum of 30 people attending on Sunday mornings, therefore it would be good if you could let Rev. Ian Lovell, our Pastor, know if you intend to begin worshipping with us from 13th September onwards.
If you need to talk about these things, then please contact Rev. Ian Lovell and he will endeavour to answer you as best as he possibly can.
May God continue to walk with you during the days ahead, and may you know His richest blessings on your life until we are able to meet together as a Church at Salendine Nook.
Every Blessing to you.
